Visiting Old Sacramento is always a fun way to spend the day when traveling through. The train station with it’s old locomotives take you back to years long ago. The shops full of tourists looking at all the gizmos and gadgets. Meeting Freddy, the only groundhog in Fresno at Ink and Images. You can watch the video on YouTube on my channel AndyVisits. After walking around, soon it’s time to eat. I walked up the stairs to La Terraza Mexican Restaurant (you can take the elevator). The weather was nice enough to sit out on the balcony and the street had plenty of activities to keep me amused. I started with chips, salsa, and fresh guacamole. One of my favorite Mexican dishes is chile relleno. As I’m looking at the menu, curiosity got my attention…Shrimp stuffed chile rellenos? I just had to try them. I have a new favorite dish now! When i left the restaurant, I took half of my lunch with me, and I was full! I wanted to tell the owner how great the food and service was. She wasn’t hard to find, you could tell whom was captain of the ship. The picture below is of her and her grandson (she was teaching him the business after running it for over 20 years). They were busy, so we will have to get an interview next time we pass through. If you get in the area, stop by and enjoy the best Mexican cuisine in Sacramento, and tell them that Andy says ” Hello”.
