When people think of California, they think of warm weather, beaches, and a very popular amusement park. On Interstate 5, in a small town called Corning (not where they make Correlle dishes or Pyrex baking items, that is in Ney York), there lies a hidden gem. The Olive Pit. You won’t see people waiting in long lines, rides, or costumed employees, but what you will see is a wonderland for those that like olives. For over 20 years I’ve stopped when traveling by, picking up a few jars of pickled garlic, smoked olives, and hot vegetable mix. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. These are just a few of the thousands of items they offer! The Olive Pit also carries wine, gift items, honey, jams, spices, and a lot more! while you are there be sure to try a sandwich and shake in their cafe. If you’re traveling through, they even offer you a place to park your RV overnight in their back parking lot. If you are not getting close to there, no worries…they do ship!
